Sermon: Knowing Love

What is this picture of? A church? Easy one right? Not so fast, this is a picture of chairs in a room in a building known as Better Life Community Church. The truth is that this is not a picture of a church at all. The church is not a building or a location or a facility. The church is the people of God. The church is the family of God, the body of Christ.

God created us to love Him. He wants us to love Him so much that we will want to do His will above everything else. He wants us to love Him so much that we can't help but love what He loves. Do you know what He loves? People. All people. The church is not an organization is it an organism. We, me and you, are the church. We are God's kids and He wants us to love one another. There are a lot of hurting people in this world that sure could use a kind word, a hug, a helping hand.  Hey church...let's do this!

It seems like a simple prayer...

It seems like a simple prayer. "Lord, break my heart for what breaks yours." This is the prayer of a true believer. A disciple dedicated to knowing the Father's heart. A profound request that when granted will change EVERYTHING.
